With the leagues suspended, clubs are preparing themselves for the next transfer window, but there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding that as well.
Manchester United, who made the right moves in the January transfer window, are likely to strengthen their squad once again under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Here is all the latest transfer talk surrounding Manchester United.
Latest Manchester United Transfer News
Matthijs De Ligt on Manchester United’s radar
De Ligt was linked with a move to Manchester United before he sealed his move to Juventus in 2019. The Dutchman has had a far from convincing season for the reigning Serie A winners, but it’s unlikely he will leave them just a year after signing for them.
Manchester United, however, remain hopeful as the Times claim the Red Devils are keeping an eye on the centre-back and may make a move in the summer if the opportunity arises.
He is likely to cost a lot of money, though, as Juventus will at least want to recoup the €85.5million they spent on him.
Jadon Sancho will cost the club £100million
This is one transfer saga that is likely to drag on for quite a bit. Sancho has been linked with a move to Liverpool, owing to the Jürgen Klopp’s connection to Borussia Dortmund, but the Mirror claim that Manchester United and Chelsea are more likely contenders for his signature.
The relationship between Dortmund and Chelsea is good as the clubs agreed a deal for Christian Pulisic last January, and the Blues also have money to spend to sign a marquee player in the summer.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have managed to pull off big-money moves for Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes in the last two transfer windows, and need someone who can hit the ground running but at the same time, someone who is young as well.
Sancho fits the bill perfectly, but Dortmund will not settle for anything less than a £100million.
Marcos Rojo on AS Roma’s radar
Rojo hasn’t been able to feature for the side consistently, and could leave the club permanently in the summer.
His contract with Manchester United expires in 2021, but considering his playing time is unlikely to increase, he will look to leave the club in the summer.
Roma are looking to sign the player as per La Gazzetta dello Sport. Rojo joined Estudiantes in the January transfer window, but hasn’t been able to feature too many times for this side due to the suspension of the leagues.
