Son & Moura On The Flanks: 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup vs Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur have a tough fixture this weekend as they host Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday. Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has turned things around since taking charge of the club, winning four of the last five league games.

The Portuguese manager will go up against his former team and he will be desperate not to lose and will also look to close the gap between the two sides in the battle for fourth. Spurs are currently fifth in the league, three points behind Chelsea, who are one place above them.

The last time these two sides faced off in the league, Chelsea won the game 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Let’s take a look at the possible Tottenham lineup for the game against Chelsea.

Team News

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, Ben Davies and Erik Lamela are ruled out for this game, but the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Michel Vorm have returned to training with the rest of the squad.

PREDICTED TOTTENHAM LINEUP VS CHELSEA (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper

Paulo Gazzaniga should continue in goal due to the absence of Lloris.

Vorm could return to the squad after his spell out due to injury, but he will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Defence

Jose Mourinho could retain his back four from last week’s win against Wolves.

Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez could start at the heart of the defence, continuing their solid partnership, while Serge Aurier will most likely retain his right-back berth.

Jan Vertonghen has been solid at left-back and scored the late winner in last weekend’s game; he should continue in his left-back role in the Tottenham lineup.

Midfield

Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko had decent outings in the holding midfield roles, with the former even registering an assist while coming close to scoring a goal. They seem to have earned the trust of Mourinho and should retain their places. It will be interesting to see what Mourinho does when Ndombele is fully fit for a start.

Dele Alli had a decent game in his No. 10 role, and he should continue in that position in the Tottenham lineup.

Attack

The front three for Spurs could be unchanged, with Harry Kane starting up top, flanked by Son Heung-min on the left and Lucas Moura on the right.
