7 Changes Expected: 4-1-4-1 Leicester City Predicted Lineup vs Everton

Leicester City faltered in the Premier League over the weekend as they could only register a draw against Norwich City. The Foxes now have a tricky fixture in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday when they face a rejuvenated Everton side at Goodison Park.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have had an easy run in the League Cup so far, defeating Luton Town and Burton Albion convincingly, in the last two rounds. But, they will have a tough test against Everton, who have won and drawn their last two games, against Chelsea and Manchester United, respectively.

Let’s take a look a the possible Leicester City lineup for the game against Everton.

Team News

Leicester City seem to have an almost injury-free squad ahead of the game against Everton.

But, Rodgers could rest quite a few first-team players against Everton as they have tough back-to-back fixtures against Manchester City and Liverpool.

PREDICTED LEICESTER CITY LINEUP VS EVERTON (4-1-4-1)

Goalkeeper

Danny Ward has made two League Cup starts this season and he could come in for Kasper Schmeichel for Wednesday’s game in the Leicester City lineup.

Defence

Club captain Wes Morgan has played in all three League Cup games for Leicester this season, and he could start in defence, alongside Jonny Evans.

Çağlar Söyüncü could drop to the bench for this game.

Christian Fuchs will most likely play at left-back, replacing Ben Chilwell, while James Justin should replace Ricardo Pereira at right-back in the Leicester City lineup.

Midfield

More changes could be made in the middle of the park.

The ever-dependable Wilfred Ndidi could get a much-needed rest, with Hamza Choudhury coming into the team in the holding midfield role. Dennis Praet played the first half against Norwich City over the weekend, and he could get yet another start for the Foxes.

Youri Tielemans could join him in the middle of the park for Wednesday’s game.

Attack

Ayoze Perez was an unused substitute for the game against Norwich City, but he could start on the right for Leicester City against Everton.

We could maybe see Kelechi Iheanacho start up top, after being substituted before half-time at the weekend. Demarai Gray or Marc Albrighton could start from the left in the Leicester City lineup.
