Defensive Rock To Return | Predicted 4-1-4-1 Leeds United Lineup vs Fulham

Leeds United will look to return to winning ways when they take on Fulham this Saturday in the Championship.

The Whites took their foot off the gas last weekend when they let go of a 3-0 lead against 10-men Cardiff City, to just pick up a point from the game that ended 3-3, a result they might yet rue come the end of the season.

The draw ended a run of seven successive wins for Leeds, who are now second in the league table, two points behind leaders West Bromwich Albion.

The last time Fulham hosted Leeds United at Craven Cottage, the hosts won the game 2-0, so Marcelo Bielsa’s side will look to exact a bit of revenge.

Leeds United Team News

Midfielders Jamie Shackleton and Adam Forshaw, and attacker Tyler Roberts will continue to be on the sidelines for this game.

But the good news for Leeds fans is that captain and central defender Liam Cooper should return to the Leeds United lineup after recovering from his injury.

Let’s take a look at the possible Leeds United lineup for the game against Fulham:

Predicted Leeds United Lineup To Face Fulham

Goalkeeper

Kiko Casilla has been one of six players to start every league game this season. He will continue between the sticks for the Whites despite making an error in last weekend’s draw.

Defence

Ben White is another player to have played every game for Leeds in the league this season, and he should start in central defence alongside captain Liam Cooper.

Stuart Dallas should also keep his place despite the goal-scoring heroics of Ezgjan Alioski. Dallas should start at left-back if Leeds play a four-man defence, or move to midfield if they play three at the back. Luke Ayling should also keep his place at right-back in the Leeds United lineup.

Midfield

Kalvin Phillips should start in the base of midfield, playing alongside Mateusz Klich. Phillips was not at his best against Cardiff, and Leeds will need their star midfielder to get back to be his dominant self.

Pablo Hernandez was influential in the middle of the park for Leeds against the Bluebirds, even registering an assist. He should keep his place in the Leeds United lineup.

Attack

There may not be any changes in attack for Leeds from their last game. Patrick Bamford – who scored a brace – should start, while Helder Costa – who scored one goal – should continue on the right. Jack Harrison should also retain his place on the left.
