3 Big Changes Expected | 4-3-3 Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Crystal Palace

Premier League leaders Liverpool will look to preserve their lead at the top of the table over the weekend when they face off against Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace.

The Reds have a tough period of football coming up, one where they will play 11 games till the end of the year.

The Merseyside club face Palace on Saturday, which could very well turn out to be a tricky fixture.

Palace have won 2, drawn 2, and lost 2 in their six fixtures at home in the Premier League this season, but often make it difficult for the bigger sides who visit Selhurst Park.

Let’s take a look at the possible lineup that Jurgen Klopp may put out against Crystal Palace:

Early Liverpool team news

Mohamed Salah sustained an ankle injury in Liverpool’s win against Manchester City last time around, but the same issue goes back to the game against Leicester City. He is a doubt for the trip to Selhurst Park.

Andy Robertson also sustained an injury in the City game which could keep him out of the Palace fixture, while Xherdan Shaqiri could return to the squad, if not the first team.

Jordan Henderson had to pull out of the England squad due to an illness, while Virgil van Dijk also pulled out of the Netherlands squad due to personal reasons. The duo are expected to make the Liverpool squad, however.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Crystal Palace

Goalkeeper

Alisson started both of Brazil’s friendlies during the international break. He should keep his place in the Liverpool lineup.

Defence

Joel Matip is yet another Liverpool who is a doubt for the Palace game, and if he is not fit, Dejan Lovren will start at the back alongside Virgil van Dijk once again.

Trent Alexander-Arnold should start at right-back for the Reds, while James Milner could start at left-back if Robertson is not fit to start the game.

Midfield

Fabinho, who put in a man of the match performance against City, should start in midfield. Georginio Wijnaldum will head into the Palace game full of confidence, having scored a hat-trick for the Netherlands against Estonia.

He should start in midfield alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the Liverpool lineup. Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a goal in England’s 7-0 thrashing of Montenegro, and deserves a start as he is pretty much back to his best.

Attack

Roberto Firmino should start in attack for Liverpool, with Sadio Mane playing off the left for the Reds. If Salah is not fit for the game against Palace, we could see Divock Origi start on the left in the Liverpool lineup, with Mane moving to the right.
