Key Attacker Ruled Out | Predicted 4-3-3 Chelsea Team vs West Ham United

Chelsea face off against West Ham United in a London derby on Saturday, and the Blues will be the favourites going into the game as the Hammers have lost 5 of their last 6 games in the league.

Frank Lampard’s side, meanwhile, have won 5 of their last 6 games, as their only loss during that run last weekend against Manchester City.

The last time these two sides played at Stamford Bridge, the Blues won the game 2-0 in April. Chelsea, however will be a little weary after their hard-fought Champions League match against Valencia during the week, while West Ham will be fresh and raring to go.

Chelsea Team News

Tammy Abraham is likely to miss Saturday’s game, after he was brought off in the Valencia tie due to an injury. He suffered a hip injury.

Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi are other doubts for the game, while Antonio Rudiger and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are still unavailable for selection due to their long-term injuries.

Let’s take a look at the possible Chelsea lineup for Saturday’s game:

Predicted Chelsea Team vs West Ham United

Goalkeeper

Kepa made a brilliant penalty save in the game against Valencia. He should keep his place in the Chelsea team, having started all 13 games for Chelsea in the league.

Defence

Reece James put in yet another brilliant performance at right-back in the Champions League and he should retain his place for the game against West Ham.

The centre-back partnership of Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomori could be preferred again for Saturday’s game. Emerson should also return for the Blues at left-back, replacing captain César Azpilicueta, in the Chelsea team.

Midfield

Jorginho had a poor game against Valencia, conceding a penalty, and he could get a break for the game against West Ham.

Mason Mount could return to the Chelsea lineup in place of Jorginho, while N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic should start in midfield for the Blues. Kovacic scored for Chelsea in the Champions League game this past midweek.

Attack

Christian Pulisic scored once again, taking his tally to 6 goals for this season. He should retain his place on the left, while Willian should feature on the opposite side. Michy Batshuayi could come into the Chelsea team in Abraham’s absence.
