Wan-Bissaka To Be Risked | 4-2-3-1 Predicted Manchester United Lineup vs Liverpool

Manchester United host arch-rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, and are in for a difficult game as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has an injury-ravaged squad.

The Red Devils face an in-form Liverpool side that have not dropped a point this season, and will start as heavy favourites.

Solskjaer has injuries to key personnel ahead of the match, and his team have an uphill task against Liverpool.

Manchester United Team News

Solskjaer will be without David De Gea, Jesse Lingard, and Paul Pogba, while Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial are doubtful.

Let’s take a look at the possible team that Solskjaer could put out on Sunday:

Predicted Manchester United Lineup vs Liverpool

Goalkeeper

De Gea is the latest Manchester United player to get injured as the keeper suffered a groin issue while playing for Spain.

De Gea has been ruled out for the Liverpool game which, means that Argentine international Sergio Romero will step in between the sticks for the game against Liverpool.

Defence

Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will start at the heart of the defence for Manchester United, but there’s uncertainty as to who will fill the full-back roles against Liverpool.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has missed the last few games through illness, and Solskjaer did not reveal much about the English right-back’s availability for the Liverpool game.

Solskjaer revealed in his press conference that they will have to wait and watch if the returning injured players get through the last two training sessions ahead of the Liverpool game.

The United manager could risk Wan-Bissaka in the game, despite his last game coming almost a month ago. Shaw is another injured player who has returned to training, but he may not be risked, which means Ashley Young could keep his place in the Manchester United lineup.

Midfield

Pogba has yet again been ruled out of a match and will not feature on Sunday. United could play a three-man midfield to counter Liverpool’s system, which could mean that Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic will start as holding midfielders, with Andreas Pereira tucking in from the wide right role that he has been playing in over the last few weeks.

Lingard is yet another player injured, and we are not sure if he, too, will be available. Juan Mata will most likely start in the attacking midfield role on Sunday.

Attack

Martial has also returned to training, but we aren’t sure if he will be ready. He may make the bench for the game against Liverpool. Daniel James could start from the left, with Marcus Rashford starting up top.
