Real Madrid could go after Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski, who was previously linked with a move to the Spanish giants. The Polish forward has been in spectacular form once again this season for Bayern Munich.
According to OkDiario’s Eduardo Inda, Madrid could make a move for Lewandowski and offer either Gareth Bale or Luka Jovic in exchange. The report states that the Spanish club could make the move in the January transfer window.
Lewandowski has been a prolific goalscorer in Germany with both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. The Polish forward has scored 209 goals in 255 games for Bayern Munich since joining from Borussia Dortmund in the 2014 January transfer window.
The 31-year-old striker has been in phenomenal form this season, scoring 18 goals in 13 games for Bayern in all competitions.

He could very well eclipse his tally from last season of 40 goals in all competitions, or even his highest tally in a season of 43 goals which he achieved in the 2016-17 season.
Lewandowski signed a new contract with the German giants earlier this year, extending his contract to 2023.
Is Lewandowski the player Real Madrid need?
Lewandowski would be a fantastic signing for any of the top teams in Europe, despite being 31 years old. The Bayern striker is ageing like fine wine, and could continue his incredible goalscoring for the next few seasons.
Real Madrid could benefit from a goalscorer like Lewandowski, despite Karim Benzema’s good form this season. Madrid’s summer signing Luka Jovic has had a very poor start at the club and doesn’t seem to have settled in at the Spanish club.
Madrid need to add more players to their squad despite investments made over the last two seasons as they are far from the team that can challenge for the Champions League and La Liga once again.
A signing like Lewandowski could be the start of a new era at the club, one that harks back to the Galácticos era of the past.
Madrid have yet to find a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals this season and Lewandowski could very well be the answer to Madrid’s current problems.
