Barnes & Perez On The Wings: 4-1-4-1 Leicester City Predicted Lineup vs Burnley

Leicester City will hope to get back to winning ways on Saturday against Burnley, after losing to league leaders Liverpool ahead of the international break. Brendan Rodgers’ side have done exceedingly well this season, and are just two points behind Manchester City, who are second on the table.

The Foxes have won four, drawn two, and lost two in the opening eight games of the 2019-20 Premier League season. The last time Leicester City faced Burnley in the Premier League, Leicester won 2-1 at Turf Moor.

Who could Rodgers pick for the game against Burnley?

PREDICTED LEICESTER CITY LINEUP vs BURNLEY (4-1-4-1)

Goalkeeper

Kasper Schmeichel will start in goal in the Leicester City lineup and comes into the game after keeping two clean sheets for Denmark.

Defence

Caglar Söyüncü and Jonny Evans have started all 8 games for Leicester this season, and have been part of a defence that has conceded just 7 goals in 8 games this season. The duo will continue at the back for the Foxes against Burnley.

Both of Leicester’s full-back, Ricardo Pereira and Ben Chilwell, have been excellent this season, with the former adding goals to his game apart from his marauding runs forward, already scoring twice this season. They will be a threat to the Burnley defence on Saturday.

Midfield

Belgian midfielder Dennis Praet had stayed back in Belgium due to personal reasons and is reportedly set to return only on Friday. This means that he may not start the game for the Foxes against Burnley.

But, James Maddison has been cleared to play for Leicester after pulling out of the England squad due to an injury. He will start in midfield, ahead of the ever-dependable Wilfred Ndidi.

Youri Tielemans will start beside Maddison in midfield in the Leicester City lineup.

Attack

Harvey Barnes started on the right for the Foxes against Liverpool but he may be moved to the left, in place of Maddison. Ayoze Perez is an option on the right, as is Marc Albrighton and Demarai Gray.

Perez will most likely start as both Gray and Albrighton are yet to earn the complete trust of Rodgers.

Jamie Vardy will lead the Leicester City lineup against Burnley.
