Predicted Leicester City Lineup vs Liverpool (4-1-4-1)
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel is the first-choice ‘keeper, and should keep his place in the Leicester City lineup. The 32-year-old bagged a clean sheet in the previous game and will have to put in an assured display against Liverpool to keep his side in the game.
Rodgers is expected to persist with the central defensive pairing of Caglar Soyuncu and Jonny Evans. They will be tested by the flamboyant attacking arsenal of the home side.
Ricardo Pereira and Ben Chilwell could be summoned to start as the full-backs. Against Newcastle last weekend, Pereira had a memorable outing as he scored 1 goal, completed 1 dribble, and won 2 aerial duels while also mustering 4 tackles.
Leicester City’s full-backs have to active throughout the game as they will come up against Liverpool’s full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson. Besides, they must also keep Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah at bay.
Midfield
Wilfred Ndidi’s defensive prowess will be key against the Liverpool attack. The defensive midfielder made 9 tackles and also scored a goal against Newcastle United last weekend.
Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez could start on the wide areas to provide width to their side. Rodgers will hope that Leicester will be able to exploit the left-hand side, as Alexander-Arnold isn’t the most assured player defensively.
Meanwhile, Maddison could come back into the Leicester City lineup at the expense of Dennis Praet, and he is expected to feature alongside Youri Tielemans.
Attack
Jamie Vardy is likely to start upfront, having scored 5 goals so far from 7 league appearances. The veteran striker will look to cause all sorts of problems for Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk.
