5 Changes Expected: 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI vs Leicester City

Tottenham Hotspur did not have the best of trips to Greece as they allowed a two-goal advantage to slip and managed to pick just one point from their first Champions League outing of the current season. But they put four past The Eagles in their last league game and will look to carry that form when they travel to King Power for their next league game this weekend.

The Foxes lost their game at Old Trafford last weekend but have been proven hard to beat this season. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won four of their last five meetings with the Foxes but will need his side to put the game against Olympiakos out of their system.

PREDICTED TOTTENHAM LINEUP vs LEICESTER CITY (4-2-2-2)

Team News

In early team news, Giovanni Lo Celso remains out with a hip problem while Juan Foyth has just returned to training and will not play. Ryan Sessegnon is still being assessed after undergoing a setback in his rehab and will not be risked.

Defence

Hugo Lloris was hardly even involved against Palace but could face a tougher task against the likes of Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez this weekend. He will need help from his centre-back pairing of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, both of who had nervy moments in Greece. This is the battle that could decide the outcome of this game.

Ben Davies was used in the Champions League game but could be replaced by Danny Rose, who has been impressive in the first few games this season. Kyle Walker-Peters was an unused substitute against Olympiakos but so was Serge Aurier and the latter is expected to edge out the Englishman.

Midfield

Harry Winks had a rather rough night against the Greek league leaders in the mid-week. A similar test awaits him this weekend, as he will face the creativity of Youri Tielemans and James Maddison in this game. He will add cover to the backline while Tanguy Ndombele might have to make way for the rested Moussa Sissoko in the Tottenham lineup.

Dele Alli was not at his best back from injury in the mid-week and is unlikely to be afforded two starts in such a short span of time given his injury troubles.

Eric Lamela is expected to come into the side while Christian Eriksen is likely to retain his place despite an underwhelming display. Lucas Moura cramped up in the final moments of the game against Olympiakos and might make the bench here.

Attack

Heung Min-Son only came off the bench against Olympiakos and could replace Lucas Moura, who had an impressive game. Son will play as a support striker and will look to break the partnership of Soyuncu and Evans at the back.

Harry Kane will lead the line and will look to add to his goal tally.

Here is how they might line up:
