Real Madrid have had a stuttering start in the 2019-20 La Liga season, winning one game and drawing twice in the opening three rounds.
Zinedine Zidane’s side haven’t been able to see off opponents, as the Spanish giants look to challenge for the Spanish league title once again.
Before their fourth match of this season against Levante, Zidane and his management team will hope that his international players return to the club with no injury:
Let’s take a look at 3 Real Madrid players to watch out for in the international break:
Toni Kroos – Germany
Toni Kroos returns to the German squad after missing the previous two games for his national team due to injury.
The 2014 World Cup winners are to have two difficult matches during the international week, first against Netherlands and then against Northern Ireland.
Germany are second in Group C, having won all three of their Euro qualifying games; Northern Ireland top the table with 12 points from four games. Germany could go top of Group C by the end of the two games if they get wins in both matches.
Gareth Bale – Wales
Gareth Bale has played all three games in La Liga this season, despite Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane admitting that Bale had no future at Madrid during the summer transfer window.
The Welsh international has put his head down and shown his qualities on the pitch, and even scored twice in last week’s draw against Villarreal before getting sent off.
Wales will hope that their star player is available for both games, against Azerbaijan in the Euro 2020 qualifying game, and a friendly against Belarus.
They have played thrice in Group E of the Euro 2020 qualifying stage, winning just one game and losing two. Hungary lead the table with 9 points, followed by Slovakia and Croatia with 6 points.
Vinicius Jr. (Brazil)
One of the most important players for the current Real Madrid team and Madrid teams of the future is winger Vinicius Jr.
The 19-year-old winger could make his debut for the Brazilian national team when they face Colombia and Peru in friendlies. His club teammates, Casemiro and new signing Eder Militão, are also a part of the Brazilian squad for the two friendlies.
Vinicius has shown plenty of flair in his time with Real Madrid so far, and the Brazilian fans will hope he starts his career with the Seleção on a positive note.
