After their disappointing late loss to Swansea City last weekend, which was their first loss of the Championship season, several Leeds United players will get to recharge their batteries during the international break.
But, there are a few Leeds players who will be in action for their national team before their next match against Barnsley in the Championship.
Let’s take a look at 3 Leeds United players to watch out for in the international break:
#3 Liam Cooper – Scotland
Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has impressive for the Whites over the last year or so, and has formed a great partnership with Ben White at the heart of the defence this season.
His fine form for Leeds has been rewarded with a call-up to the Scotland national team, where he could make his debut for the national side.
Cooper was called up to the Scottish national side twice previously, but did not make it onto to the pitch, but there is a possibility that the 28-year-old could play in one of the two international matches against Russia and Belgium – both Euro qualifier matches. Scotland are currently fourth in Group I of the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
#2 Stuart Dallas – Northern Ireland
Stuart Dallas has been yet another player that has done very well in Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and has adapted very well to the right-back position. Dallas, who has made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland, could return to winger role in their upcoming matches.
Northern Ireland play Luxembourg in a friendly match, followed by a huge game against Germany in the Euro 2020 qualifiers match.
Northern Ireland are top of Group C after four games, winning all four games and three points ahead of their opponents, Germany.
#1 Mateusz Klich – Poland
Central midfielder Mateusz Klich has bossed the midfield area for the Whites this season and has even scored a goal in the League Cup this season.
The 29-year-old midfielder has also become an important player for the Polish national team, starting for his national side in the last four games, which they have won.
Poland top Group G and face Slovenia and Austria in the Euro 2020 qualifying games in the next week.
