Wolves vs Manchester United Preview: Team News, Predicted Lineups, Key Men, Prediction

Wolves will host Manchester United on Monday night in the final game of matchweek 2 of the 2019-20 Premier League season.

The hosts come into the game after a 4-0 mid-week win in the Europa League against Pyunik, while the Red Devils won 4-0 against Chelsea last Sunday in their first Premier League game of the season.

Wolves will be optimistic about their chances against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side after beating them twice last season, once in the Premier League and once in the FA Cup.

Let’s take a look at the team news, predicted lineups, key men, and predicted result for the game between Wolves and Manchester United:

Wolves vs Manchester United – Team News

Wolves and Manchester United do not have any injury concerns, with the only exception being Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly, who has been ruled out for a few weeks following a knee injury in pre-season.

Wolves manager Nuno Espírito Santo made wholesale changes for the mid-week Europa League game, and we will see an entirely different lineup for the game against Manchester United.

Wolves vs Manchester United – Predicted Lineups

Wolves: Rui Patrício; Willy Boly, Ryan Bennett, Conor Coady; Jonny, Matt Doherty; Rúben Neves, Leander Dendoncker, João Moutinho; Raúl Jiménez, Diogo Jota

Manchester United: David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay; Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata; Anthony Martial

Wolves vs Manchester United – Key Men

Wolves: The midfield duo of Ruben Neves and João Moutinho could have a great influence on the team with their passing and energy in midfield. They could play a big part in releasing Wolves strikers Raúl Jiménez and Diogo Jota, who are two other key men for Wolves against the Red Devils.

Manchester United: Wolves were impressive in their previous two wins against Manchester United, and United’s defence was lacklustre. With the addition of Harry Maguire, the Red Devils are stronger defensively. Maguire, along with the strike duo of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, could be the key men for Solskjaer’s men.

Wolves vs Manchester United – Predicted Result

Wolves 2-2 Manchester United.

We could see a very open game between Wolves and Manchester United as both sides have an exciting, quick front line.
