Wan-Bissaka to Start: 4-2-3-1 Predicted Manchester United Lineup vs Inter Milan

Manchester United‘s first two pre-season games, both in Australia, went well for them, as they won 2-0 and 4-0 against Perth Glory and Leeds United, respectively.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men face tougher opposition in Inter Milan, whom they will play in Singapore this Saturday.

United’s new signings, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, have impressed in pre-season, while strikers Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have also been among the goals. Rashford, in particular, has been excellent so far in pre-season.

Who could play against Inter Milan on Saturday? Let’s take a look at the predicted Manchester United lineup.

Predicted Manchester United Lineup (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper

Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea’s contract situation has not been sorted out yet as he enters the last year of his current contract, but it seems like he will still be Solskjaer’s No. 1 for the 2019-20 season.

The Red Devils manager revealed that de Gea was fit for the game against Inter and he could play 60 minutes or more.

Defence

Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof looked solid against Leeds United, and it seems that if United do not sign a top-quality centre back, these two will start in the opening game of the Premier League against Chelsea.

In the game against Inter, Bailly and Lindelof will most likely be joined by Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who will start at right-back, and Luke Shaw could return to the side at left-back after sustaining a minor knock and missing the Leeds game.

Midfield

Paul Pogba played in a deep role against Leeds alongside Scott McTominay, and the pair will most likely continue to play as United’s two central midfielders.

Juan Mata played as an attacking midfielder against Leeds United, and we could maybe see Jesse Lingard get a run in that position against Inter.

Attack

Dan James started both of United’s first two games, playing as a left-sided attacker. He has done well so far, but we could maybe see Anthony Martial play that role, and link up with Marcus Rashford, who will reprise the striker role once again, against Inter.

Solskjaer has several options for the right-sided attacker role – Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Tahith Chong, and Mason Greenwood could play that role, but I have a feeling that the Norwegian manager could play Greenwood there, after impressing in the win over Leeds.

Solskjaer recently revealed that there is a possibility of the 17-year-old playing against Chelsea in the season opener, which could possibly be one reason why Solskjaer plays him against Inter.
