Manchester United eye a big money move for Spanish star: The creative spark Ole needs

Real Madrid have a big summer coming up as they look to add more freshness to the squad that performed miserably this season.

Manager Zinedine Zidane is looking to offload midfield star Isco, as his sale would help fund other signings in the window.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Manchester United will compete with rivals Manchester City and PSG for Isco’s signature.

Real Madrid signed the Spanish international for €30 million from Malaga in 2013, and reports suggest that they may demand a whopping €120 million for him.

Isco has won four Champions League titles and one La Liga title for Real Madrid, while scoring 47 goals for the club in all competitions. He has also featured 36 times for the Spanish national team since making his debut in 2013 and scoring 12 goals for the side.

With Manchester United struggling to find any cohesion the final third, the arrival of someone like Isco might finally give them the boost they need.

Is Isco the creative spark that Manchester United need?

Isco is a phenomenal player, one of the best players of his generation in his position, but fell out of favour with previous Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari. He was primarily a substitute last season, where he scored 6 and assisted 2 times.

The attacking player can play in the middle of the park or wide on the left, cutting inside and moving to central areas to influence the game from midfield.

A fine passer of the ball, Isco has the vision to create chances with his good movement and passing ability, as well as excellent dribbling skills.

While Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs a defensive player in the heart of the midfield, a player who can break the opposition from playing as well as intercept passes, an attacking player like Isco, who can create opportunities for the strikers to run into, is also required.

Isco would certainly be a big upgrade on the midfielders that United have currently, and would be an even more important signing if Paul Pogba leaves the club in the summer.

Still only 27, Isco still has several good years of top-flight football left, and might become a key part of Solskjaer’s plans in the coming seasons if he signs for the club.
