Rudiger to Return, Hudson-Odoi to Start: Predicted Chelsea Lineup vs West Ham United

After a much-needed win against positive result against Brighton, Chelsea will take on West Ham United later on Monday.

The Blues scored thrice and put in a convincing display against Brighton, which should give some of their players a lot of confidence for the remaining games.

Results elsewhere have given Chelsea big boost as they are now just a point behind Tottenham who occupy the third spot in the Premier League table, and are behind Arsenal on just goal difference.

Chelsea team news

Maurizio Sarri finally rang in the changes and the team put in a more fluid display compared to the fortuitous win against Cardiff City.

Chelsea started with the Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek against Brighton, but the latter might only make the bench as he has a back injury.

Antonio Rudiger is in line to make a return to the starting lineup after being rested for the last game.

Predicted Chelsea Lineup vs West Ham United

Defence

Rudiger and David Luiz should start at the heart of the defence, with Emerson and Cesar Azpilicueta starting as the two full-backs.

Emerson has done a good job so far. Azpilicueta might be in for a tough game if Felipe Anderson starts for West Ham on the left, as the Brazilian has offered most of the creative spark in attack.

Kepa should keep his place in goal against the Hammers.

Midfield

If Loftus-Cheek fails to make it, Ross Barkley should feature alongside N’Golo Kante and Jorginho.

Barkley will provide the drive from midfield, something Chelsea need considering the other two are better at recycling possession and protecting the defence.

Attack

Gonzalo Higuain has been disappointing so far, so Olivier Giroud deserves to keep his place in the team. The Frenchman scored against Brighton, and knits the play really well with his one-touch passes.

Eden Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi should feature on the flanks. Hudson-Odoi offered quite a bit of spark against Brighton, and was always direct with his play and movement. Considering the teenager finished the last game with an assist, he will be full of confidence and needs to play again.
