After a disappointing loss to Newcastle United, Leicester City will look to bounce back to winning ways when they travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United.
The Foxes are currently seventh in the table, but are trailing sixth-placed Manchester United by a whopping 17 points.
Brendan Rodgers’ side will hope to strengthen their hold on seventh in the remaining games.
Leicester City team news
Daniel Amartey is the only injury-related absentee for Leicester City. The defender suffered a serious leg injury in the reverse fixture and has been out since.
Predicted Leicester City lineup vs West Ham
Defence
Harry Maguire should return to the starting lineup for Leicester City on Saturday, having missed out on the last couple of matches due to personal reasons. The English international will replace Wes Morgan, who was culpable for Newcastle’s late winning goal in the last game.
Maguire will be partnered by Jonny Evans at the heart of Leicester’s four-man backline while the full-backs are likely to remain the same.
Ricardo Pereira will, therefore, continue in the right-back position, with Ben Chilwell featuring on the opposite flank.
Kasper Schmeichel should retain his place in between the sticks as the Dane searches for his ninth clean sheet of the campaign.
Midfield
We expect Wilfred Ndidi to continue to feature as the lone holding midfielder.
The Nigerian international will look to provide the defensive cover for the backline while his anticipation and work-ethic will play a crucial role in the Leicester City pressing. He will be partnered by the midfield duo of Youri Tielemans and James Maddison, both of who will operate in slightly advanced roles.
Tielemans will offer more urgency in midfield while Maddison will remain the Foxes’ chief creative outlet going forward.
Attack
Jamie Vardy is a guaranteed starter, with Leicester lacking other reliable options in front of goal. The England international has scored 15 league goals so far, and will look extend his tally against a West Ham team, decimated by injuries.
Vardy will be supported by the wide-duo of Demarai Gray and Harvey Barnes, who has emerged as a key player for the Foxes this year.
