Key Change Up Front: Predicted 4-3-2-1 Tottenham Hotspur Lineup vs Huddersfield

Tottenham Hotspur will eye their third successive win in all competitions when they host Huddersfield Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Arena on Saturday.

The Lilywhites are currently fourth in the league table and a win will be imperative as they aim to secure Champions League qualification next season.

Tottenham Hotspur team news

Serge Aurier has been ruled out with a hamstring injury along with Eric Dier, who is nursing a hip problem.

Harry Kane is also out, having sustained an ankle injury in the win over Manchester City. He joins Eric Lamela, Aurier and Dier in Tottenham’s list of injury-related absentees against Huddersfield Town this weekend.

Dele Alli has a fractured hand, and it would be a surprise if he features.

Predicted Tottenham Hotspur lineup vs Huddersfield Town

Defence

We expect Kieran Trippier to retain his place in the right-back position while his compatriot, Danny Rose is likely to make way for Ben Davies on the opposite flank.

Davinson Sanchez could make a return to the starting eleven, after only making the bench against Manchester City. The Colombian international will be deployed in central defence at the expense of Toby Alderweireld, and will be partnered by Juan Foyth in Spurs’ four-man backline.

This could be an excellent opportunity for the young defender to impress, with Pochettino keeping eye on the important second-leg encounter with Manchester City next week.

Hugo Lloris is a guaranteed starter in between the sticks. The Spurs captain saved a crucial penalty in midweek and will look to continue on his impressive form.

Midfield

Moussa Sissoko will continue to feature in midfield in the absence of Dier. The Frenchman will be deployed alongside Harry Winks and Christian Eriksen in the three-man midfield.

Winks, in particular, was impressive against Man City and his excellent ball distribution will once again be crucial as the visitors look to dominate Huddersfield this weekend.

As for Eriksen, he will operate in a slightly advanced midfield role, where he will play the role of a ball-carrier and create opportunities for his team. The Dane is also in good form, having been involved in three goals in his last two league matches.

Attack

Son Heung-Min is definitely one of the players worth looking forward to in this week’s round of fixtures, having notably scored the winner against Manchester City in midweek.

The South-Korean international will be partnered by Lucas Moura in the attacking midfield role, just in behind central striker Fernando Llorente, who will deputise for the injured Kane.
