Leicester City’s new manager Brendan Rodgers will be keen to revamp the squad he inherited from Claude Puel during the summer transfer window.
The Foxes looked listless in the fag end of Puel’s tenure and the sack did not come as a surprise for too many people.
Rodgers will aim for a top half finish at the very least this season and will use the remainder of the campaign to assess his options. But an active summer transfer window cannot be ruled out with the former Celtic boss coming in with a huge reputation and he will be expected to take the Foxes to the next level.
It has been claimed by the Mirror that he is keeping close tabs on Aston Villa’s midfield ace John McGinn to add more quality in the middle of the park.
Before the commencement of the ongoing campaign, McGinn was one of the players who was on the wish-list of Rodgers during his reign at Celtic.
However, the Celts dragged the negotiations with Hibernian for too long and as a result, the Villans managed to strike a deal by tabling the Scottish side’s asking price of £3m for McGinn.
The Daily Record understands that Leicester City might have to roll out a transfer fee of £20m in the summer to lure McGinn to the King Power Stadium.

McGinn emerged through the youth ranks of Scottish outfit St. Mirren and after dazzling for their senior side, the Hibs made him sign on the dotted line in the summer of 2015.
After three successful seasons with them, he moved to Villa Park at the start of this campaign and has been an instrumental player for them.
He has made 30 appearances in the Championship for them and has managed to score 2 goals and register 7 assists.
The 24-year-old has also represented the Scottish national side on 13 occasions and is expected to play a key role for them in the coming years.

McGinn is an astute passer of the ball and has the ability to start the attacking endeavours of his side from the deeper areas in the midfield.
He reads the game really well and apart from the creativity which he offers, he is also a tough tackler and averages 2.2 tackles per game so far in the English second tier.
Predominantly a central midfielder, he is also capable of plying his trade as a central defensive midfielder owing to his sound defensive technique and his versatility will be a huge asset.
Rodgers’ persistence during his failed attempt to sign John bodes well for the Foxes. The former Liverpool manager is known for backing his chosen players and extracting the best out of them and his seeming conviction regarding McGinn points to a potentially successful partnership between the two.
