Manchester United are looking to sign Benfica star Joao Felix in the summer transfer window, it has been claimed.
The Red Devils are not the only side who have been linked with the 19-year-old however, as Juventus and Manchester City are also looking to sign the Portuguese ace.
Felix has proved that he is quite a talent, and Manchester United are willing to meet the £90 million asking price set by Benfica, according to Mirror.
The 19-year old is managed by super-agent Jorge Mendes, who has been in talks with Manchester United.
Joao Felix: Player Profile
Felix has been a force in the Portuguese league, also known as Liga NOS. He has been called the best talent in the country since the emergence of Cristiano Ronaldo, which is quite a weight on his young shoulders.
Playing most often as a second striker, Felix has been prolific in front of goal. The teenager has made 16 appearances in the league so far and has mustered nine goals and five assists, which is a pretty impressive return for a player of his age.
Felix has provided good creativity to the Benfica attack, having managed 1.1 key passes so far this season.
Teams have found it hard to deal with him, and he does get fouled a lot, at least twice a game in fact.
Why Felix would be a good addition to Manchester United
Felix has shown good versatility this season, having thrived as a striker, on the left wing, and as a central attacking midfielder.
Strong with his passing and finishing, Felix has also shown the ability to hold the ball well in the attacking third because of his technical ability.
The 21-year old would be a long-term addition to the Red Devils as he is unlikely to set the league alight immediately, but his versatility would be a useful addition to the team.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the players have been pretty consistent. But it has to be pointed out that the pressure was taken off the moment Jose Mourinho was sacked.
The club need a new direction, and with players like Alexis Sanchez and Juan Mata struggling to perform consistently, they need to be shipped out for bright players like Felix.
