Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Belgian attacker Yannick Ferreira Carrasco; it has been claimed.
According to Corriere Dello Sport(via Manchester Evening News), the Red Devils could be eyeing a move for the Dalian Yifang winger, who is apparently keen on leaving China in the summer.
This has alerted the likes of Arsenal and Inter Milan, but United could also hop in as they look to bulk up their attacking department next season.
Yannick Ferreira Carrasco: An ideal target for United
Ferreira Carrasco shocked the footballing world when he made a €10.5 million switch to Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang at the start of last year.
Although the Belgian has racked up decent numbers for his new club, notably being involved in 16 goals in just 27 matches last season, Ferreira Carrasco is reportedly keen on returning to Europe in the summer.
This could be an exciting opportunity for Manchester United to sign the former Atletico Madrid winger, who is more than capable of replenishing the United attack that has lacked consistency in the past couple of seasons.
Star player Alexis Sanchez has struggled to make himself a regular fixture in the starting lineup while Juan Mata has also failed to make any notable impression. This has led to United appearing overreliant on the services of the young Marcus Rashford, thus accentuating the need for a new attacker in the summer.
Carrasco, to that end, could be an excellent option given the Belgian’s direct approach on the flank that could tune well with the attacking brand of football Manchester United have embraced under Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer.

Indeed, the 25-year-old loves to take on defenders, having averaged an astonishing 3.6 successful dribbles in the Chinese top flight last season.
Furthermore, Carrasco loves to get to the byline and whip in crosses into the box, which could be beneficial for the United attack, which boasts the services of Romelu Lukaku, although he has been a subject of major transfer speculation in recent months.
But, what makes Carrasco such an appealing target for United is his vast amount of experience at the highest level of football, having made over 220 competitive appearances during his time with Atletico Madrid and AS Monaco.
This will surely help him integrate into the fast-paced nature of the Premier League, although Manchester United are likely to find it difficult to secure the services of this highly talented attacker, amidst interest from Arsenal and Inter Milan.
