Liverpool will take on Fulham at Craven Cottage and will have the chance the return to the top of the table before the international break.
The Reds are a point behind Manchester City, who played on Saturday in the FA Cup and only return to Premier League action at the end of the month.
Jürgen Klopp’s side have had a pretty good week as they beat Bayern Munich and drew Porto in the quarter-final, a team they comfortably beat in the round of 16 stage last season.
Confidence will be high in the Reds’ camp at the moment, and the Merseyside outfit will hope to take full advantage of a clash against a struggling Fulham side.
The Cottagers have lost their last six games in the Premier League, and last picked up points towards the end of January when they beat Brighton 4-2.
Liverpool Team News
Jordan Henderson came off in the first half against Bayern Munich, and is unavailable due to an ankle injury.
Naby Keita is unlikely to feature, so Adam Lallana and James Milner are set to compete for a first-team place. Lovren is available, but might make the bench at best.
Predicted Liverpool Lineup
Defence
Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip should continue at the heart of the defence as Klopp doesn’t really have too many options. The two weren’t troubled all that much by Bayern, but will take on the powerful Mitrovic later today.
Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold should keep their place in the full-back areas and will hope to maraud forward and test a leaky Fulham defence. Alisson should stand in goal as usual.
Midfield
Lallana did an excellent job in midfield against Burnley, and his tenacity will once against be key against Fulham who will come out fighting at home.
Gini Wijnaldum and Fabinho should complete the midfield. The latter had a decent enough game against Bayern, and should play as the deepest midfielder.
Attack
It’s unlikely we’ll see Klopp rotating his front three as he’ll want to ensure the three points and then take off his key players.
So, the trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah should start in attack again. Mane is the in-form player, but Salah will hope to end his goalless run and help the team return to the top of the table.
