Suarez to Start, no Ozil: Predicted 4-2-3-1 Arsenal Lineup vs Huddersfield Town

After a disappointing defeat to Manchester City last time out, Arsenal will look to bounce back when they take on bottom-placed side Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

The Gunners briefly threatened Manchester City after scoring the equaliser in the first half, but failed to test Ederson in the second half as the Sky Blues had a comfortable game.

Unai Emery will hope his side can put forth a statement in what looks like a winnable game against Huddersfield who seem destined for the Championship.

Arsenal team news

Arsenal will miss out on the services of a host of star players including Hector Bellerin, Granit Xhaka, Sokratis and Danny Welbeck. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Shkodran Mustafi are doubtful going into the game.

Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Huddersfield Town

Defence

Stephan Lichtsteiner will deputise for the injured Bellerin in the right-back position while Nacho Monreal should continue on the opposite flank.

Laurent Koscielny is a guaranteed starter in central defence, but with Sokratis and Holding ruled out, and Mustafi a doubt, Emery might hand Konstantinos Mavrapanos a rare start this weekend.

The Greek defender replaced Mustafi in the last game against Manchester City, in what was his first Premier League appearance of the season. Mavropanos has struggled with injuries for the most part of this campaign, and it will be interesting to see how he copes with the pressure of playing against Huddersfield.

Bernd Leno will continue to feature in goal for the Gunners. The German international will be looking for only his fourth clean sheet of the campaign.

Midfield

With Xhaka ruled out, Matteo Guendouzi is expected to retain his place in the Arsenal midfield. The Frenchman will be partnered by Lucas Torreira.

Torreira leads the team in tackles and has managed the second most interceptions in the Arsenal squad this season. The Uruguayan’s work-ethic and urgency will be key as the visitors look to dominate the Huddersfield midfield.

Attack

Sead Kolasinac is likely to get relegated to the bench this weekend. The Bosnian international might make way for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the left-wing, while new signing Denis Suarez might get his first start on the opposite flank.

The Spaniard is likely to replace Alex Iwobi on the right, and will look to provide the creativity going forward.

Aaron Ramsey should once again start over Mesut Ozil as the lone attacking midfielder.

And finally, the Gunners attack will be led by Alexandre Lacazette, who has scored in two of his last three league matches.
