Three Changes Expected: 4-4-1-1 Predicted Hull City Lineup To Face Millwall

Hull City will strive to bounce back from their shocking 5-1 loss against Brentford at the Griffin Park on Saturday when they host Millwall at the KCOM Stadium later today in their next Championship fixture.

The Tigers suffered a severe blow at the weekend in their quest of getting into the playoffs. At the moment, they are placed 13th in the standings after having picked up 44 points from 33 league games so far.

With 9 points separating them from 6th placed Bristol City, Nigel Adkins’ side cannot afford to be complacent anymore and have to come out all guns blazing if they harbour any hopes of making a late dash for the top 6 places.

HULL CITY TEAM NEWS

Adkins is currently facing a number of injury worries. Kevin Stewart and Daniel Batty are nursing back injuries and are out of contention to feature.

David Marshall, Jackson Irvine, and Fraizer Campbell were all taken off with niggles during their defeat at the hands of the Bees and are slight doubts today.

Jordy de Wijs could return following his recovery from a calf injury. However, the central defender might not be rushed back into the starting XI.

While Angus McDonald is out for the remainder of the season, Hull City will also be without the services of Ondrej Mazuch and Jon Toral.

PREDICTED HULL CITY LINEUP VS MILLWALL (4-4-1-1)

Defence

George Long replaced Marshall at half time against Brentford and is expected to be deployed between the sticks by Adkins if Marshall remains unfit to feature.

Liam Ridgewell is likely to be replaced by Reece Burke in central defence, with the latter expected to partner Robbie McKenzie.

While Stephen Kingsley could keep his place at left-back, Todd Kane might be replaced by Eric Lichaj at right back to freshen things up on that flank.

Midfield

Markus Henriksen and Irvine work really hard on and off the ball. They have the calibre to knit the side together with their passes and will aim to dictate the tempo of the game.

In the wide areas in the midfield, Kamil Grosicki and Jarrod Bowen are expected to operate when Hull City square off against the Lions.

Attack

Evandro is an astute passer of the ball and his creativity has been useful for his side. In 17 Championship games, the 32-year-old has scored 3 goals and has assisted 4.

With Evandro playing just behind the striker, Campbell could lead the line once again. In case Campbell misses out, Adkins might hand a start to Chris Martin.
