Robson-Kanu a Doubt: Predicted 4-3-3 West Brom Lineup vs QPR

Following their 2-0 win against Aston Villa this past weekend, West Brom will take on Queens Park Rangers in their next Championship fixture.

The Baggies are certainly one of the contenders for promotion to the Premier League, having collected 57 points from 32 games so far in the Championship this season, and are fourth in the league standings.

Following a defeat against Middlesbrough in early February, West Brom have bounced back well and have picked up seven points from the subsequent nine to keep up with the teams above them in the table.

The Baggies will feel confident ahead of their game against QPR as the latter have lost their last five games, and are struggling at the wrong end of the table.

West Brom Team News

West Brom are hopeful of Hal Robson-Kanu featuring against the London based outfit. Robson-Kanu was taken off at half-time against the Villans due to a knee injury.

Matt Phillips is expected to make his return following an ankle injury which he had sustained at the start of January. Chris Brunt and James Morrison are also available.

While Jonathan Leko is out with an ankle injury, Dwight Gayle will serve the second game of his two-match suspension for diving against Nottingham Forest last week.

Predicted West Brom Lineup vs QPR

Defence

Sam Johnstone is expected to be in goal as usual. Johnstone has been reliable between the sticks.

Craig Dawson and Ahmed Hegazi are expected to start as the centre-half pairing.

Mason Holgate and Kieran Gibbs might operate as the full-backs. Gibbs has scored 3 goals and registered 4 assists in 29 league appearances so far this season.

Midfield

Midfielders Jake Livermore and Rekeem Harper did well against Aston Villa, and should keep their place in the West Brom lineup.

However, Stefan Johansen might replace Gareth Barry. The latter is set to turn 38 on Saturday, and Moore might give him a  breather as he isn’t cut out to play once every four days or so.

Attack

Jacob Murphy might get the nod to start on the left-wing once again, although he has to improve his output.

If Robson-Kanu is fit enough, he might feature on the right, else we might see Jefferson Montero get a start.

Jay Rodriguez is likely to continue up front. The 29-year-old has already mustered 17 goals this season, and will be keen to add more to his tally.
