Predicted 4-4-2 Crystal Palace Lineup vs Wolves: Meyer Starts

After a 1-0 loss against Chelsea, Crystal Palace will hope to bounce back when they make the trip to the Molineux on Wednesday to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next Premier League fixture.

While Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have been absolutely fantastic so far this season after their promotion to the top flight, the Eagles have had a tumultuous ride so far.

Roy Hodgson’s side are currently 14th in the league table, having collected 19 points from 20 games.

Crystal Palace Team News

Apart from Christian Benteke and Martin Kelly, Crystal Palace have a clean bill of health. The duo will not be available for selection on Wednesday.

Predicted Crystal Palace Lineup vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (4-4-2)

Defence

Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins should once again start together in central defence. Sakho has started every game for the side so far this season and has made 1.1 tackles, 1.6 interceptions, and 4.7 clearances per game on an average.

Patrick van Aanholt, on the other hand, is expected to keep his place in the left-back position. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been a player on everyone’s lips this season and he should keep his place on the right.

Vicente Guaita is likely to be positioned under the bar yet again. The 31-year-old shot-stopper will hope he doesn’t have much to do come Wednesday.

Midfield

The midfield needs to step up after playing on the back foot against Chelsea in their previous game. Luka Milivojevic was one of the silver linings against the Blues and the captain is in line to start once again in central midfield.

Alongside Milivojevic, Cheikhou Kouyate could start at the middle of the park. Jeffrey Schlupp is likely to be sacrificed to accommodate Max Meyer for the role of the wide midfielder on the left. James McArthur should get the nod to start on the right once again.

Attack

Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend could form a two-man attack against Wolves.

While playing as a lone striker against Chelsea, Zaha looked isolated and frustrated and therefore, Hodgson should use Townsend alongside him to keep the opposition defenders occupied and thereby, create more space for Zaha.
