Huge: Chelsea Dismiss Opening Barcelona Bid But Sarri Willing To Negotiate

Chelsea have made a huge statement after they dismissed a swap offer from Barcelona for their star winger, Willian. The Blaugrana had offered Malcom along with cash with the deal valued at around £50m but it has been rejected by the Blues.

The London side apparently are looking to add a winger to the squad in January as clearly mentioned by Sarri in his latest press conference.

When asked whether he is looking to sign a striker this month, the Italian replied:

“No, because I have the option with Hazard in this position,” said Sarri earlier this month when asked about signing a centre forward.

“We have Morata and Hazard [who] can play very well in this position as we have seen in the last two, three matches, so [at] the moment I don’t need another striker. Maybe another winger.”

Willian has just 18 months left on his contract and there is a consensus that an exit for the player will not be the worst decision especially if they get anywhere close to the figure quoted in this particular transfer deal. And the same report states that Sarri is indeed open to selling Willian for £50m but is determined to have the final say in the kind of player he signs.
