Following a narrow defeat to Manchester United last weekend, Everton will look to return to winning ways when they host Brighton and Hove Albion at the Goodison Park on Saturday.
The Toffees are currently ninth in the league table and a win could potentially lift them ahead of the Red Devils.
Everton team news
Everton do not have any fresh injury concerns ahead of their encounter against Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend.
Young midfielder Beni Baningime remains the only absentee as the 20-year-old lacks match fitness after recovering from an ankle injury that has kept him out of action for more than three months.
Predicted Everton lineup vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Defence
Despite a disappointing defeat to Manchester United last weekend, coach Marco Silva is unlikely to make any significant changes to his side with Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne occupying the fullback roles. Both the players struggled against United but will be keen to make amends.
Yerry Mina is fully match-fit and is in line to make his Everton debut this weekend. The Colombian international will pair up with Michael Keane in central defence. Keane is a dogged defender who has notched up as many as 42 clearances this season but Mina’s immense physical and aerial prowess could seriously revamp the Everton backline this weekend.
Jordan Pickford will be starting in goal, having made eight saves against United. He will need to be on his toes against a sharp Brighton attack.
Midfield
After a disappointing performance last weekend, Andre Gomes will look to make an impression on Saturday. The Portuguese international will be deployed alongside Idrissa Gueye.
The Senegalese international leads the team in terms of interceptions (22) but will be wary of his robust tackling, especially after how an early booking against United minimized his effective against Manchester United last time.
Attack
New signing Richarlison will continue to feature as the central striker for Everton. The Brazilian has caused a lot of problems for the defenders with his tenacity as well his physical prowess, making him one of the most important Everton players going into this game.
Richarlison will be supported by the trio of Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard in attack.
