Top Tweets Of Matchweek 8: Chelsea And Manchester United Feature Amongst Others

This weekend, Premier League witnessed an interesting run of results as the big teams had some crucial matches lined up. Manchester United returned to their winning ways after a victory-less streak of four matches.

They instigated a dramatic comeback in the final 20 minutes by scoring three goals courtesy of Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez.

This was a very important victory for Jose Mourinho too, as the Portuguese manager could have faced the sack in the event of a loss. This victory brought out a range of emotions on social media and we have chosen a few of them:

Arsenal routed Fulham 5-1 and the celebrations were insane. Unai Emery’s team played an excellent brand of football in the match. Aaron Ramsey scored a wonderful goal to cap off the proceedings after two brilliant braces from Aubameyang and Lacazette and while Emery might prefer things the way they are right now, a couple of wins more and there will be murmurs of the Gunners joining the title race.

Chelsea defeated Southampton 3-0 quite comfortably. Eden Hazard continued his goal-scoring run as he opened the scoreline for the team and is looking in the best form of his career till now.

Lastly, Manchester City and Liverpool played out a nervy 0-0 draw at Anfield. In a game that was expected to present the fans with a lot of goals and excitement, Pep Guardiola showed that he has learnt his lesson from last season and tweaked his tactics just enough to kill the atmosphere in Anfield and resultantly the Liverpool attack. After all that the Sky Blues still had a glorious opportunity to win the game but Riyad Mahrez missed a spot-kick in the final few minutes of the match which led to the rival fans having a go at the player’s expense.

Wow, this piece of writing is fastidious, my sister is analyzing these things, thus I am going to inform her here.
