Eriksen and Dembele start: Predicted 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Lineup vs PSV Eindhoven

Tottenham’s impressive run in the Premier League continued this past weekend when they beat West Ham United in the London derby. Spurs will now try to get their Champions League season back on track when they take on PSV Eindhoven.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were beaten by an excellent Barcelona side inspired by Lionel Messi on matchday two and that, coupled with their loss to Inter Milan, means they are yet to collect a single point in the group stage.

Things are indeed on the up for the North Londoners, though. Results in the league have gone in their favour even without some of their key players. Considering a few of the big names are back, Tottenham will look at keeping the winning momentum going.

PSV are doing well in the league, but Spurs will be confident of a win considering the quality they possess.

Tottenham team news

Eriksen and Dembele came off the bench against West Ham, and though they didn’t play for long, the two are expected to make it to the starting XI tomorrow. Dembele’s presence in midfield should give the team more control while Eriksen will offer more creativity. Dele Alli, however, is still not fit. Danny Rose might miss out too after sitting out against West Ham.

Predicted Tottenham Hotspur Lineup

Defence

Pochettino will not be able to call upon the services of Jan Vertonghen for a while, so we could see Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez lining up at the heart of the defence once again. Alderweireld has raised his game after a slow start to the season and has become an indispensable part of the team.

Danny Rose is a slight doubt for the game, so Ben Davies could once again start in the left-back role. We could see a bit of rotation at the back which means Serge Aurier could start in place of Kieran Trippier.

PSV have agile wingers in Hirving Lozano and Steven Bergwijn, so the fullbacks will have to be on their game.

Midfield

Mousa Dembele’s presence will offer more fluency in midfield, even though Harry Winks did a pretty commendable job in the Belgian’s absence. Eric Dier will most likely line up alongside Dembele and provide the defensive cover.

Eriksen’s availability is positive news as the Dane’s creativity and ability to pick a pass in the attacking third was missed.

Attack

Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura will provide the width to the attack while Harry Kane will lead the line.

Lucas – Kane – Son

Dembele – Dier

Davies – Alderweireld – Sanchez – Aurier
