As per one of the latest reports by Bristol Live, Manchester United are believed to be keen to lure Juventus winger Douglas Costa to the Old Trafford. The report further states that Arsenal and Manchester City are also keeping close tabs on the Brazilian international.
Costa emerged through the youth ranks of Gremio and was elevated to their senior side eventually. After that, he spent more than half a decade with Shakhtar Donetsk before moving to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2015. Last summer, he was loaned out to Juventus and in June 2018, he signed a permanent deal with the Italian giants.
However, his relationship with the Old Lady has been on a decline after he spat in the face of Federico Di Francesco during his side’s 2-1 win over Sassuolo on Sunday. Prior to spitting, he also threw elbows and headbutted Di Francesco. The 28-year-old has been suspended for the next four Serie A games.
Although Costa has apologised for his indiscipline, Massimiliano Allegri’s camp could look to cut their ties with him in January. With the Red Devils monitoring his situation at Juventus closely, it would be intriguing to see what lies ahead for him.
