As per one of the latest reports by Daily Star, Manchester United are readying a bid of £60m to lure Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves to the Old Trafford. Further, Manchester City are also believed to be in the race to make Neves sign on the dotted line.
The Portuguese international signed a new deal with his current employers in July and his contract is set to expire in 2023. He is unarguably one of the hottest properties on the books of Nuno Espirito Santo’s camp and there is no denying that they would be reluctant to lose him.
Having emerged through the youth ranks of Porto, Neves dazzled after he was promoted to their senior side. He was signed by Wolves last summer and he played an instrumental role for the English outfit last term as he helped them in securing the Championship silverware.
So far in the top-flight, he has started in all of the 4 games for Espirito Santo’s side and has scored 1 goal and mustered 1 assist. His commendable displays have already earned rave reviews from the football fraternity and it would be intriguing to see whether Manchester United can manage to sign him or not.
