As per one of the recent reports by CalcioMercato, Arsenal are keen to sign Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder James Rodriguez. Apparently, the Spanish giants have put a price tag of €50m on Rodriguez’s collar and the Gunners are perceived to be desirous to roll out the aforesaid figure to lure him to the Emirates Stadium.
The 27-year-old started his senior career with Envigado and after successful spells with Banfield and Porto, he switched to the ranks of Monaco. In the summer of 2014, he was lured to Santiago Bernabeu but unfortunately, he couldn’t live up to the expectations which were nested on his shoulders after his move to Real Madrid.
Rodriguez, who was shipped out on a two-year loan to Bayern Munich last summer, has resurrected his career at the German-based outfit. In 22 German Bundesliga appearances last term, the Colombian international plundered 7 goals and also registered 11 assists and no wonder why he has attracted Arsenal’s attention.
Capable of operating from either wing as well as a central attacking midfielder, Rodriguez has truckloads of experience under his belt. He is quick, decisive, has a fluidic mentality whilst going forward and there is certainly no denying that he would add more class to Unai Emery’s star-studded attacking setup.
