As per one of the latest reports by Express, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has informed the club that he is desirous to leave the Old Trafford once the January transfer window opens. Pogba is believed to be keen to return to Juventus to ply his trade alongside Cristiano Ronaldo who moved from Real Madrid this summer.
The French international, who dazzled for his national side in 2018 World Cup in Russia, is perceived to have given notice to Manchester United about his exit in January in order to let them find a replacement. The Red Devils, however, should leave no stone unturned to keep him in their camp as he is a huge asset for them.
Pogba switched to Manchester United from the ranks of the Italian giants a couple of years ago for a then world-record transfer fee of £89.3m, but he hasn’t been able to produce outputs which he used to while he was with Juventus. Besides, his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho is also believed to have been broken down.
Pogba had implied that he was unhappy under the tutelage of Mourinho after his side’s opening weekend win over Leicester City. After the match against the Foxes, the 25-year-old said: “If you’re not happy, you cannot give your best. There are things I cannot say otherwise I will get fined.”
