Rangers are breathing a new life under the tutelage of their new manager Steven Gerrard who was appointed earlier in the summer. Gerrard has not only lured some quality players to the Ibrox Stadium but has also injected a lot of hunger and perseverance into his ranks.
Although the Gers have collected just 5 points from their first 4 league outings and are placed at the 7th spot in the Scottish Premiership table, midfielder Scott Arfield believes that his side are capable of turning the tides in their favour in the coming month.
Prior to the international break, Rangers suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of their arch-rivals Celtic at the Celtic Park, which saw Gerrard lose his unbeaten record as Rangers boss. However, Arfield has stated that the better days are ahead of them and he completely trusts the squad.
He said: “If we want to be winners then we need to start beating them (Celtic). I’m still finding my feet in terms of the way the manager wants to play and I’m finding it educational. I think when I fully get up to speed with the opposition and the game it will be good for me. I think you will see the best of Rangers at the back end of this season.”
