Zinedine Zidane shocked the football fraternity after he announced his exit from Real Madrid earlier in the summer. The Frenchman quit Los Blancos after less than three years in charge at Santiago Bernabeu, despite guiding them to their third successive Champions League title.
Zidane was expected to take a year-long sabbatical from management but he could return back earlier than expected. Intriguingly, the speculations that he could replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United are intensifying with every passing day and the same have disturbed Florentino Perez.
The president of Real Madrid, as per one of the latest reports by Express, believes that Zidane is all set to be appointed as the new manager of Manchester United and that the former midfielder is also keen on doing the same. Besides, Zidane also said recently that he is looking for a new job, which added more fuel to the rumours. He said: “Surely soon I will return to training, because I like it and it’s what I’ve done all my life.”
Mourinho is under immense pressure regarding his future at the Old Trafford at the moment as the Red Devils have lost two of their first four games in the Premier League. They are already six points behind title contenders Chelsea and Liverpool and four points behind defending champions and their arch-rivals Manchester City.
