As per one of the latest reports by Express, Liverpool have held talks with Paris Saint-Germain’s talented midfielder Adrien Rabiot. It is believed that Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of Rabiot and he has spoken to the Frenchman personally.
Reportedly, the Reds have also contacted Rabiot’s mother, who also happens to be his agent, over a possible switch to the ranks of the Premier League outfit. His current deal with PSG is due to expire in 2019 and a new deal is yet to be churned by the club and the player.
The 23-year-old, despite his young age, has already accumulated 200 appearances for the Parisians. Intriguingly, Liverpool have a good stock of midfielders in their arsenal, having signed Naby Keita and Fabinho during the summer transfer window. Therefore, it is to be seen whether Klopp’s side actually go all out to sign Rabiot.
Rabiot, however, has never hidden his fondness for Liverpool as he has previously admitted that they were his favourite side while growing up. He said: “I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young.”
