As per one of the latest reports by TEAMtalk, Aston Villa are interested to sign Bakary Sako. Apart from the Villans, their fellow Championship side Middlesbrough are also believed to be keen to make Sako sign on the dotted line and it would be intriguing to see what happens from here onwards.
The 30-year-old left Crystal Palace earlier in the summer after he failed to agree terms on a new contract with the Premier League outfit. However, he nearly joined the Eagles last month, but that fell through. He is currently a free agent would be a decent signing for Steve Bruce’s side.
Sako joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2015 after he was released by Wolverhampton Wanderers. He scored 8 goals in 50 appearances for his former employers and there is no denying that he has volumes of experience of English football under his belt.
The Lions haven’t had a great start to their new season in the second division, having garnered just two wins in six outings. They are currently placed at the 12th spot in the league standings with nine points to their name and signing someone like Sako could boost their ranks.
