Leeds United have managed to add Izzy Brown to their arsenal from the ranks of Chelsea. Reportedly, Brown arrived in West Yorkshire earlier today for further negotiations with the Championship outfit and has eventually been shipped out temporarily by the Blues yet again.
Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman were already prised out of the Stamford Bridge on loan earlier this summer by Marcelo Bielsa’s camp and impliedly, Brown is Leeds United’s third signing from Chelsea. Brown s apparently very happy with his move to the Elland Road.
After his transfer to Leeds United, he said: “It feels amazing to be part of such a huge club. You can tell the fans are a huge part of this club – it’s an amazing club.” The 21-year-old hasn’t featured in a competitive match since January after he suffered an ACL injury while plying his trade for Brighton & Hove Albion against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.
Brown emerged through the youth ranks of Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion before Chelsea made him sign on the dotted line in the summer of 2013. However, the midfielder hasn’t received enough opportunities with the London based side and has previously had loan spells with the likes of Vitesse, Huddersfield Town and Brighton & Hove Albion.
