Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has returned to training prior to his side’s clash against Cardiff City at the Cardiff City Stadium tomorrow. Ozil is seemingly likely to play a key role in deciding the productivity which the Gunners derive this season and his comeback will boost Unai Emery’s armoury.
Following defeats at the hands of Manchester City and Chelsea in their first two outings in the Premier League, the north London based outfit secured a 3-1 win over West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium last weekend. Interestingly, Ozil was absent from the matchday squad against the Hammers, which raised a lot of eyebrows.
Reports had emerged that the German World Cup winner had an altercation with Emery. However, the former Paris Saint-Germain manager has cleared the rumours and has stated it very clearly that the playmaker is a very important player for him and that there was no rift between him and the 29-year-old.
Speaking to the press prior to his side’s clash against the Bluebirds, Emery said: “He (Ozil) is OK, he has the commitment we want, he is a very important player for us and we want to help him to give us the best performance in each match and each moment.”
