One of the busiest managers in the Premier League this summer has been West Ham United’s boss Manuel Pellegrini. After taking his place at the helm of the London Stadium in the month of May, he has left no stone unturned to beef up his arsenal for a productive season in the top flight.
The former Manchester City manager has already roped in the likes of Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop, Andriy Yarmolenko and Jack Wilshere. As per one of the latest reports by Express, West Ham United are expected to complete the signings of Lucas Perez and Carlos Sanchez before the transfer window closes at 5 pm on Thursday.
@ExWHUEmployee, the Twitter account which broke all big deals before they were churned this summer, tweeted yesterday: “At this point both Perez and Carlos Sanchez are expected to join the club before the window closes and that would conclude our transfers in. Bernard looks to be moving elsewhere now though.”
Perez hasn’t been able to make a mark in the Premier League with Arsenal after his move from Deportivo La Coruna a couple of years ago. However, he is keen to stay in the English top tier and the Irons are believed to be pursuing him. Meanwhile, Colombian international Carlos Sanchez is currently on the books of Fiorentina and has experience of Premier League under his belt, having plied his trade for Aston Villa for two seasons.
