As per one of the latest reports by Birmingham Live, Aston Villa have put Everton winger Yannick Bolasie on their radar. John McGinn and Axel Tuanzebe have been the only additions for the Villans as far as their outfield is concerned and Steve Bruce is likely to be active in the coming weeks.
Although the regular transfer window has shut down, the loan window is due to close at the end of the month. Apart from Bruce’s camp, Middlesbrough are also reportedly interested to lure Bolasie to the Riverside Stadium on loan as a replacement for Adama Traore who left for Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this summer.
Bolasie’s days at the Goodison Park are heavily numbered. The 29-year-old, who was signed from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016 for around £25m by former manager Ronald Koeman, has missed almost a year of football owing to his injury. Besides, he was left of the Everton squad that shared points with Wolves after a 2-2 draw.
Bruce does need some more reinforcements, particularly for the wide areas, and Bolasie would be a good signing for them. He is a player with volumes of experience under his belt and if he manages to stay fit, he should be able to help the Lions in making a serious surge for promotion to the Premier League.
