Latest Report On Manchester City Midfielder’s Move To Celtic

As per one of the latest reports by The Scottish Sun, Celtic are not interested to sign Manchester City’s starlet Oleksandr Zinchenko. The midfielder was heavily linked with a move to the Celtic Park, but having signed Daniel Arzani already, the recent reports have stated that Brendan Rodgers wouldn’t be bringing another young player from the Etihad Stadium.

Zinchenko had rejected a permanent move to the ranks of Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this summer and his agent has reportedly held talks with Real Betis. Rodgers was in the attendance during Manchester City’s 6-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Sunday, although the 21-year-old was not in the squad.

So far for the blue half of Manchester, Zinchenko has made 15 appearances across all competitions. Despite the fact that he is very highly rated amongst the Cityzens, it would take monumental efforts in the near future from him to engineer a regular spot for himself in the starting line-up of Manchester City.

The Celts missed out on John McGinn earlier this month as he moved to Aston Villa from Hibernian. The former Liverpool boss is still looking for a midfielder to beef up their arsenal and it would be intriguing to see whether they manage to churn one or two more deals before the transfer window shuts down or not.
