As per one of the latest reports by The Sun, Arsenal are yet to convince their midfield ace Aaron Ramsey over a contract extension. Ramsey has merely 11 months left on his current deal with the North London based outfit and therefore, he has the license to start speaking to other clubs.
Talks on fresh terms between the two parties commenced last year but a new deal is yet to be churned. The Welsh international wants a massive increase on his £110,000-a-week wages, considering that he is one of the main players for Unai Emery and an experienced one too.
Besides, the former Paris Saint-Germain boss had stated after his entry into the Emirates Stadium that Ramsey would be one of the five captains for his side. However, his current contractual situation is turning out to be a major headache for the Gunners. They lost Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United during the January transfer window this year owing to similar circumstances.
Ramsey’s apparent reluctance to sign on a new contract has alerted the Red Devils and Chelsea as per ESPN. Losing Ramsey would be a major blow for Arsenal and Emery must leave no stone unturned to ensure that Ramsey remains on his books in the upcoming seasons.
