Leeds United have made a bright start to life under the tutelage of their new manager Marcelo Bielsa. After bagging all three points against Stoke City and Derby County, the Whites inked a comfortable 2-0 win over Rotherham at the Elland Road last weekend.
Having already signed some quality players like Barry Douglas and Patrick Bamford already this summer, Bielsa is apparently keen to beef up his defensive sector. As per one of the latest reports by Hull Live, Leeds United have placed Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Juan Foyth on their radar.
Foyth emerged through the youth ranks of Argentine outfit Estudiantes and was eventually elevated to their senior side. Last summer, he was lured to the ranks of Spurs but he hasn’t been able to carve a respectable position for himself so far at the North London based side.
The 20-year-old has, however, impressed in the games he has played for the youth sides and arguably, a loan spell should help him in brushing himself further. With Pontus Jansson, Conor Shaughnessy and Liam Cooper being the only recognized central defenders on the books of Bielsa, Foyth will bring more depth at the back for the Peacocks.
