Former Chelsea Boss Favourite To Take Over At Man United

As per one of the latest reports by Football Italia, former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has surfaced as a hot favourite to become the next manager of Manchester United. Conte was sacked by the Blues earlier this summer and was replaced by Maurizio Sarri.

Manchester United are currently a team in complete turmoil under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho. Altercations with the club’s record-signing Paul Pogba has played a major role in damaging the harmony inside the camp. Besides, his relationship with the board has also soared in recent weeks.

Reportedly, the Red Devils’ hierarchy would rather sack the Portuguese manager instead of losing Pogba. After an inspiring 2-1 win over Leicester City in their opening fixture, Manchester United lost 3-2 to Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium on Sunday and it was certainly a demoralising outcome for them.

Therefore, Mourinho might just see the axe falling on him in the coming days. Conte, during his time at the Stamford Bridge, had won the Premier League and the FA Cup. Apart from the Italian, Zinedine Zidane, Max Allegri and Carlo Ancelotti are also believed to be in contention to replace Mourinho at the Old Trafford.
