As per one of the latest reports by Independent, German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 are keen to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s left-back Danny Rose on loan. Rose has fallen out of favour at Spurs after he attempted an exit from the ranks of the North London based side last summer.
Spurs have slashed Rose’s valuation from £55m to £60m (which they wanted during the summer transfer window of 2017) to £25m to £30m. Despite this massive decline in his price tag, Mauricio Pochettino’s camp hasn’t been able to find a suitable buyer.
The Premier League outfit are currently enduring financial constraints imposed by the new stadium and they haven’t churned even a single deal to beef up their arsenal. A move to Schalke seems to be the likely solution for Spurs to solve the issue regarding Rose. If Rose leaves, Kyle Walker-Peters would be promoted to the rank of Spurs’ left-back back-up.
Along with Champions League football, the Royal Blues will offer the chance of a notable amount of first-team football to the English international. Besides, Schalke can also offer Rose the chance to ply his trade alongside his former Spurs’ teammate Nabil Bentaleb.
