Manchester United have perennially been a club known for giving a lot of exposure to the youngsters and have enabled them to take their game to the next level. The expectations from the Red Devils have been consistently humungous but time and again, they have invested in youth, which has been lauded by the football fraternity.
According to a recent report by The Sun, Manchester United are keen to lure Ipswich Town starlet, Dylan Crowe, to the Old Trafford this summer. However, it will not be easy to make Crowe sign on the dotted line as other prominent clubs such as Borussia Monchengladbach and Red Bull Leipzig are also believed to be in the race to sign him. Thus, the Manchester-based outfit will be facing a tussle for the right-back.
Interestingly, Manchester United were keen to sign another starlet in Nottingham Forest left-back, Matthew Bondswell. However, Bondswell chose to make a move to Germany as he signed for Leipzig. The Bulls are no strangers to signing promising English talents as Everton winger, Ademola Lookman, enjoyed a fruitful loan spell last season and the club is keen to sign him permanently.
Besides, Borussia Monchengladbach had also signed West Ham United’s young gun, Reece Oxford last season and two years ago, they had roped in Mandela Egbo from the ranks of Crystal Palace. Most of the youngsters have been skipping the idea of joining English top flight sides like Manchester City and Manchester United and notably, Jadon Sancho signed for Borussia Dortmund instead of battling it out for a first-team spot at Manchester City last summer.
Sancho has proved himself to be a handy asset for the German Bundesliga outfit. This is emerging as a major cause of concern and thus, Jose Mourinho’s camp should leave no stone unturned to get hold of Crowe. The 17-year-old impressed for England Under-17s at the European Championship and thus, he has attracted attention from some of the top quality sides. He is a blossoming youngster with immense calibre and needs guidance to make it big.
Manchester United are willing to pay £500,000 to strike a deal with the Tractor Boys for Crowe. He emerged through the youth ranks of his current club and is rated very highly by them. He has not featured for their senior side till now but not many would bet against that happening in the near future. Although Ipswich Town are keen to tie him down with a professional contract, the apparent interest from the big guns might just prove too tempting for the lad to refuse.
