Arsenal are reportedly one of the numerous clubs interested in the services of Anderson Talisca, according to a report from Transfermarketweb. The Gunners are said to be keen on making a move on the Besiktas attacker as they look to strengthen their team this summer.
Anderson Talisca, who is also courted by AS Roma as well as AS Monaco, is apparently one of the most highly rated players in the Turkish Superlig. The Brazilian attacker has found resounding success in the Turkish top flight since moving from Benfica to Besiktas on a loan deal.
Talisca has featured in 80 competitive games for the Turkish giants, in which he has already netted in as many as 37 goals whilst providing 14 assists. In fact, he has transformed into one of most important players Black Eagles in recent years.
However, that being said, Anderson Talisca’s long-term future with Besiktas could be in serious doubt as his loan deal is set to expire at the end of this season. Even though Besiktas reportedly have the right to exercise their option and permanently buy the Brazilian attacker, Turkish football expert Emre Sarigul believes that the club is willing to buy the player in order to sell him for a profit this summer.
This has alerted the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United along with a few other top clubs in Europe. Arsenal, in particular, are in dire need of some offensive reinforcement this summer as they look to start their post-Wenger era next season.
The Gunners have had to deal with the departure of Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott, which has definitely created a gaping hole in the attacking department. Even though the North-London giants have secured the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the corresponding transfer window, they still lack the dynamism in the final third.
Therefore, the addition of Anderson Talisca could prove to be a smart choice from the Gunners. Known for his masterful movements in the attacking third, Talisca is someone who can add more dynamism into the Arsenal attack. Initially a number ten, he is very good when it comes to finding space in the between the lines, which can be particularly helpful for a side that boasts the likes of Aubameyang and Lacazette in their forward department.
Even though Anderson Talisca might not have the necessary talent to replace the huge shoes of Alexis Sanchez, the 24-year-old has all the qualities in the world to be a success in the Premier League and potentially help Arsenal to rise back among the English elites next season.
